Cityfight table - complete

I managed to put in a few hours this weekend and am now the proud owner of an 8' x 4' modular city fight table.

Obviously it needs some scenery but I am very happy with how this has turned out.

Storage space is at a premium at my house so this board has to be stored stacked. This means that  no surface detail (like piles of rubble) can be permanently attached to the board.

Rather, as a separate project, these will be modeled on their own bases so that they can be added when needed.

  4. Neal, it's amazing how varied the board looks with just the two tile types. The painting is really effective, I'd consider trying this myself but because I haven't got a very big table 5'x3' I'd be concerned that the smaller tiles might be easy to tip if they overhang the table, even though it's only 6" each side. I keep trying to visualise of some mechanism to lock the panels together, my current plan does involve sheets of pink foam, some kind of brass tubing and dowels. I'm still not convinced though so I'll think on.

  5. Great looking table and very flexible. I love the tile patterns you used for that. Are you looking to sell unfinished tiles or the tile components in the future?
